The US schedule provides dedicated lines for shoulders (0204422010), legs (0204422020), and loins (0204422030) of lamb because these primals have distinct commercial values and, in some cases, different TRQ treatment. Residual bone-in lamb cuts fall under 0204422090, and non-lamb sheep cuts under 0204424000. Correct primal-level classification ensures the right duty rate and quota category are applied.

Shipments must arrive in a continuously frozen state and bear country-of-origin labeling compliant with USDA Agricultural Marketing Service requirements. FSIS reinspects for temperature, condition, and labeling at the port of entry.
