The same propeller or rotor part may be classified under different 10-digit lines depending solely on the purchasing entity: 8807100015 applies when the civil aircraft part is acquired for the Department of Defense or US Coast Guard, while 8807100030 covers civil aircraft parts for all other buyers. Military aircraft parts fall under 8807100060 regardless of purchaser. Importers must accurately identify the end-use and end-user at the time of entry, as misclassification between these lines can affect duty liability and statistical reporting.
