Line 0306332000 covers crabmeat in fresh or chilled form (extracted meat), while 0306334000 covers live, fresh, or chilled crabs that are not yet processed into meat. The two lines can carry different duty rates and trigger different FDA product codes, so the processing state at the time of export — whole animal versus extracted meat — must be accurately reflected in entry documents.

Importers must file FDA prior notice before the shipment arrives, confirm the Norwegian processor is registered with FDA and operates under a seafood HACCP plan, and ensure the commercial invoice specifies species, net weight, and processing form. Because fresh crabmeat is highly perishable, pre-clearance coordination with the FDA district office at the port of entry is advisable to minimize hold times.
