Rhodium's separate classification also facilitates monitoring of its highly concentrated supply base and supports accurate statistical reporting for this strategically important metal.

Given rhodium's high per-ounce value and price volatility, CBP expects robust valuation documentation: a commercial invoice stating the transaction value, an assay or refinery certificate confirming purity and net weight, and evidence of the arm's-length price (such as a reference to the London Metal Bulletin or Johnson Matthey published price on the transaction date). Importers should retain all supporting documents and consult a licensed customs broker for high-value entries.
