Generally no. Bearings have their own specific headings and are classified there regardless of their end use in a motor. Similarly, standard fasteners and general-purpose components are classified by what they are, not by the machine they fit. Heading 8503 is reserved for parts identifiable as suitable solely or principally for motors, generators, or generating sets.
Parts of wind-powered generating sets that are identifiable as such are classified under 8503, not under 8502. However, if a component (such as a gearbox) is more specifically described under another heading, that more specific heading takes precedence. The Section XVI notes on parts classification govern, and a binding ruling is advisable for high-value or ambiguous nacelle assemblies.
