HDPE fittings for pressure pipe are typically joined by butt fusion or electrofusion rather than solvent cement, requiring compatible installation equipment. Buyers should confirm that imported fittings carry the appropriate ASTM designation (e.g., ASTM D2466 for Schedule 40 PVC) and NSF certification for their intended service, as non-conforming fittings may fail inspection or be rejected by contractors.
