Methyl and ethyl substitution alters the odor profile and intensity of the base coumarin structure, making these homologs useful for fine-tuning fragrance formulations. For classification purposes, all three types fall within the same SITC heading, but importers should provide the specific CAS number and structural description to support accurate tariff line assignment at the HTS level.
