Bauxite is a bulk mineral commodity and does not require an import permit under normal circumstances. However, shipments may be subject to standard CBP entry requirements, and importers should verify whether any applicable trade-remedy orders (antidumping or countervailing duties) cover the specific origin, as well as confirm the correct HTS classification given that some aluminum-bearing minerals may fall outside this heading.
