Springs are generally classified in HTS Chapter 73 by metal type and form (flat, coil, leaf), while fasteners such as bolts, screws, and nuts have their own dedicated subheadings also within Chapter 73, with further breakouts by thread type, head style, and material grade. Builders' hardware (hinges, locks, door closers) typically falls under Chapter 83. Each product type requires independent classification analysis rather than a single heading for the entire hardware assortment.
