Zinc wire is predominantly consumed in thermal spray (metallizing) applications, where it is arc-sprayed onto steel structures — bridges, tanks, and offshore equipment — to provide galvanic corrosion protection. It is also used in wire flame-spray processes for repair and maintenance coating. Demand is closely tied to infrastructure maintenance and marine construction activity.
