Unperforated photographic film wider than 610 mm but cut to roll lengths of 200 m or less occupies a distinct dimensional niche within large-format sensitized materials, often used in proofing, display graphics, and specialty photographic output. The sole US tariff line 3702430100 covers all such film regardless of color type. Germany is the leading supplier to the US market, with South Korea and Belgium also notable sources.
AI-written summary of the official U.S. Census Bureau trade figures on this page — verify before relying on it.
Subheadings 370241 and 370242 require both width over 610 mm AND length over 200 m. Subheading 370243 captures film that meets the width threshold (over 610 mm) but whose roll length does not exceed 200 m. The length cutoff is therefore the operative distinction, and importers should confirm roll length per shipment to avoid misclassification between these adjacent provisions.
Unlike the parallel subheadings 370241 (color) and 370242 (non-color) for longer rolls, subheading 370243 does not subdivide by color type at the HS6 level — both color and non-color film meeting the dimensional criteria fall here. At the US 10-digit level, the single tariff line 3702430100 covers all such film without a color distinction.
